Since graduating from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India in 2013, the ethos of my career has always been "Never Stop Building".

The six years I spent with my first employer was a crazy rollercoaster ride, building several products all in different domains: consumer e-commerce, private label furniture, social media application, and a SAAS product to help companies run crypto-backed token economies.

The most complex project of my life has been OST Platform, we started building it after we completed our ICO in December, 2017. It provided everything you need to test, integrate, and deploy your own Brand Currency on scalable (side) (block)chains. OST Platform APIs, SDKs, and dashboards enable fast and painless integration into any app, without any blockchain expertise — so you can focus on your business and leave the blockchain bits to us.

We were marrying Consumer to Crypto and building a system which could handle millions of transportations (blockchain) per hour. Even outside of the work Protocol team had done (by implementing safe and optimal smart contracts) there was a lot to be done to achieve this scale on the application side.

There were several problems which we faced one of them which I can share here was with Private Key Management. In our first version we kept it on GETH nodes on nodes running our chains and used to decrypt it before sending transactions. This clearly couldn't scale and we moved away managing keys securely outside of GETH and using it we used to also sign transactions in our applications. This also required us to maintains "Nonce" in our application which at our scale wasn't easy at all.

Right before the pandemic I moved to Coupa Software, a leader in the Business Spend Management community, and over the last two years with them, I have transitioned from an individual contributor role to an Engineering Manager role.
