Though late to the blockchain party, when I realized the potential of DTL's, blockchain and the impact crypto would have over traditional networks (and as Naval puts them turning them into marketplaces), my previous work felt inconsequential.
I come from India where corruption is rampant in the government and there is still a large chunk of population which is still unbanked. Due to the JIO effect (https://indianexpress.com/article/technology/tech-news-technology/india-has-the-cheapest-mobile-data-prices-in-the-world-study-5615978/), population the sizes of Australia are going to come online and I want to be in service to this population.
Possible examples of impact: https://edition.cnn.com/2017/02/21/africa/mpesa-10th-anniversary/index.html.
My entire bachelor degree was more or less shaped around decentralized projects:
- Cambuzz - decentralized youth networking platform -
https://prastut.github.io/cambuzz - Google Summer of Code on Teem: a P2PValue collaboration app: https://prastut.github.io/gsoc/
- Research Associate on FROG: platform which is trying to upend the ed tech tools industry by making a framework for researchers.
What drives me?
Decentralization of power. Wealth creation for the masses.
What's the most complex project you worked on?
Leading Product team for NEETPrep. Scaling a product from 1 lakh/month to 40 lakhs/month on balance sheet by building a team. Maintained ethics around user privacy and data as regulations don't exist in India.
