I feel I am good at learning new technologies and new products. Being a computer science student and core interest in programming and problem solving , I always try to focus on how a certain product was/can be made, how is it solving the problem.
What drives me is how lucky we are that we have capability to impact in peoples life directly, being a technical student we are provided with everything , with proper use of our knowledge , we are capable of impacting a lot mass of people not only in own country to any people anywhere in the world.
Tootle( simple ride sharing company) , foodmario( food delivery) we can see how much impact it has created here in Nepal.
This kind of companies which started from basic level , solved the problems that a person faces daily in his/her life has impacting so much in the society drives me.
Well, the most complex project I would say I have worked on and working are two of them.
One is a product which 4 of us tried to develop , it was also in hackathon months back, which was , a diabetes complication prediction system. We have seen a lot of diabetes prediction system and implemented with very good acuracy in realworld but not the system that predicts what will be the long term complication of diabetes in a person. We tried to build this system, it was complex because we didn't get any data to train a Machine learning model , these kinds of datas are not relased in public domain and we didnt't had time to approach medical houses for data. The solution we tried was creating a dummy dataset , we had found a research paper on similar topic which was also just on the paper but actually implemented , based on that paper which had the schema of data but not the dataset, we developed a dummy dataset and modeled the system. Though it was not prdocut to be implemented in real world , it taught us many things , how to work in team ,what it takes to solve actually a problem, the technical difficulties we faced a lot.
second the complex project I would say is a international project named "World food program project powered by Omdena." , its an AI challenge wher AI enthusiasts from all parts of the world gather virtually and try to solve a problem , problem statement here was Crops classification , though I was only a small part of the project , many AI enginners were involved along with very talented mentors , this project taught me a lot of technical aspects, many things where I was pretty confident it is the right way is actually not which only works on theory not on the real world. I got to learn a lot of technical aspects from this project.
Well, first of all I like to thank the organizing team for oraganising this kind of grand hackathon, We are a team of 3 , from different colleges a with a common interest coped up to create something that can be actually deployed in the real world not only remain inside hackathon premise , here in hackathon ,we would get a lot of exposure , most importantantly, ideas, helps, guidance from the mentors in hackathon , what works , what does not works ,what are the competitions , and most importanlt it will be a great learning platform , only participation will teach us many things which will surely help each and everyone in their future ,
