I am a process engineer in the semiconductor industry and as a part of my job I develop custom applications to help analyze data for specific and niche use cases, which are surprisingly common in the semiconductor manufacturing context due to the sheer variety and sensitivity of data and steps, which leads to pretty significant blind-spots in both off the shelf solutions (i. e. Jump) and proprietary IT solutions. Usually, the applications I build involve a combination of Python (along with common frameworks/libraries for data processing and GUI i.e. Pandas & DPG) and SQL to handle the database access. However, I am looking to expand my skillset by participating in the BUIDLathon and I am excited to work on projects that are outside of the scope of the usual projects I partake in.
