Daxeel Soni

Hi, I'm Daxeel Soni, co-founder at Version Labs and city lead at Facebook Developers Circle, Ahemdabad. We build in-house tech products in the space of web3, sports and media. I am passionate about building tech startups, building teams and contributing back to the community.

I started my journey as a programmer back in 2014. Since then I have shared my knowledge by giving more than 50+ talks at various universities, events and conferences in India and outside of India. I got selected for prestigious Canadian hackathon Hack The North 2017 organised by University of Waterloo. Also, I was on the list of selected people for Europe's leading hackathon Hack Junction 2018. My team participated in FinTech hackathon organized by DCB Bank and won the first prize for their Conversational Invoicing Technology for Freelancers. In 2017, Me and my team was recognized as one of the Top 100 Makers in India for their Chatbot Controlled CNC Machine by Maker Mela. For the same project, we won the Runners Up Prize in India's largest hackathon HackInOut 2016.

I am also a creator of world's first open source Blockchain learning interface - Blockshell, having 1300+ stars and 6 global contributors on github which was used by Blockchain at Berkeley club from University of California, Berkeley. In Dec 2021, we participated in the polygon hackathon and we won the #3 prize in the utility category with the project NFTSO.io, an NFT based auth service for web3 projects.

I strongly believe in people and the power of community. I am a co-lead of Facebook Developers Circle, Ahmedabad. I was invited by Facebook for Facebook Developers Circle APAC Annual Summit 2018 in Singapore and in California to attend Facebook's flagship tech event F8 in 2019. I was also invited by Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2018 in Kuala Lumpur to give a talk on Business Model Canvas.

Outside to his work and responsibilities, he plays Bollywood tunes in his acoustic guitar. He is a hobbyist traveler and nature photographer loves to capture natural beauties with different perspectives. In conclusion, whatever he is doing is all about technology, people, marketing and people empowerment.
