I am not an expert programmer, but I am a good learner. If my friends have to introduce me, they call me a passionate future startup founder. The idea of making things with the optimal use of resources(human, capital) drives me in my life. It has not been long that I have found my passion in founding startups. But I still don't know if I am good at it.

I have worked on several projects as my class assignments in college. I made my own game for CS 101 final project, analyzed the stock price of sin companies using Stata in my Data Analysis class, and made my website using WordPress for my core project. All these projects were challenging in their ways where I learned a different set of skills. But the most challenging/complex project is not something that I have worked on, but it is something that I am working on right now. I am working on a group of 3 people to found a startup in Nepal, which helps restaurants find customers. I learned many things from the basics of finding a team (co-founders) to complex, such as raising money. We haven't launched it yet, but this project has been helping me learn skills such as time management, effective communication. I learned one crucial lesson that you have to adjust to the need of people. It's not easy to build something that people want. You have to think like a customer and see if you make something that people will enjoy. And I believe this project will help me learn many other essential skills.

I am participating in this hackathon, mainly for three reasons. I have involved in Hackathon for Social good in the Arab world, an annual hackathon in my college, but I backed up at the last minute and became a volunteer instead of a participant. The reason for it was I was too afraid to take part as I was a beginner at coding. But now I have realized that hackathon is not only about coding; it's more than that. So, participating in the biggest hackathon in Nepal will help me to move out of my comfort zone and learn new skills. The second reason is that this hackathon will be an opportunity to meet people who share the same vision as me for making something new. I hope I will find my co-founders for my future startups. I also hope to meet my investors for my new startup ideas. And the last reason is I want to make my summer useful. So, I believe doing something that I like will add value to my free time during summer.
