Here's how to get past the magic barrier in Sellia Town, Elden Ring.

Players who have made it through the Soifra River Well will use a big lift to get out of the zone through the other end. This long ride up will take players deep into the middle of Caelid, an area in Elden Ring known for its tough enemies and rotting scenery. Near the Soifra River Well exit is a town called Sellia that is full of ghosts.

You can easily leave the area once by using the Sites of Grace, but the only way to "leave" Sellia Town is to break down the huge barrier blocking the big arched doorway. Unfortunately, players who don't know how to break through this barrier will have to circle the ruins of the town and fight through hordes of ghostly apparitions whose magic can quickly cut through even the biggest health bars.

Even though there is one barrier between players and the rest of Caelid, players can open more than one barrier in Sellia Town. There are five different barriers that keep people from going to certain places. Once players figure out how Sellia Town's magic works and do what they need to do to get rid of the annoying gates, all five of these annoying walls will come down.

There are two big barriers in front of huge architectural arches, and three others in front of small square spaces all over town. All of the small barriers lead to chests with different magical things in them. One of the big walls leads to freedom and a handy Site of Grace, but there is another Site of Grace in town for those who are afraid of falling to spirit enemies. For players who are in the early to middle stages of Slope Game, the second big wall leads to a boss fight with two pretty hard enemies.

Unlocking the gates in Sellia Town is pretty easy, but you do have to use some platforms. Players will have to find and climb to the top of three different "towers" in the town. On the tops of these buildings are empty braziers. If you light all of them, every wall in Sellia Town will come down. They aren't hard to get to, but players still need to pay attention to their surroundings and hop carefully across the roofs. Ghostly apparitions all over town can quickly kill a lower-level player if they fall from these places.

The best place to start is near the main gate fence, next to the tree with the Golden Seed. From this platform, players can look at each "tower" and figure out how to get to it. All of them require players to use platforms on roofs and tree roots, so if they fall, it's best to come back to this area and start over. The first barrier is the easiest to get to from where you start, but it also has the hardest jump. Players have to climb up a twisted tree root to get over it. The jump from the root to the tower is hard to make on foot, so players should use Torrent to get there. One of the best ways to get onto the branch is to walk up to it and then call Torrent right before you make the jump. Trying to jump onto the branch with Torrent can be a bit strange.

You can get to the second and third braziers by jumping off the left balcony of the starting area and making your way across the roofs until you reach the base of the first "tower." This path is pretty simple and easy to follow, but players should still be careful when jumping across roofs because it's easy to miss a jump and fall to the street below. When players get to the bottom, they can climb the ladder and light the second brazier before moving on to the third. From the tower of the second brazier, it's easy to see the third location, and players can again jump across the roofs to get to the third and last tower. After the third brazier is lit, all the walls in Sellia Town will come down. Players will then be able to go wherever they want and pick up any things that are lying around.
