Abhik Mukherjee

Hi! I’m Abhik Mukherjee, a B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering student with a strong interest in software development and open-source contribution.

I am comfortable working with Java, Python, and C, and I have a good understanding of core computer science subjects such as Data Structures & Algorithms, OOPs, DBMS, and Operating Systems. I also have hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and collaborative development workflows.

I have worked on multiple academic and personal projects, including:

• An Online Examination System with real-time monitoring
• Web-based applications using modern development practices
• Console-based systems focusing on clean logic and modular design

What drives me toward open source is the opportunity to learn from real-world codebases, follow best practices, and collaborate with developers from diverse backgrounds. I enjoy debugging, improving existing code, and writing clear documentation.

Through Winter of Code, I aim to strengthen my problem-solving skills, gain experience in large-scale projects, and actively contribute meaningful features and fixes to open-source repositories. I am highly motivated, consistent, and eager to learn from mentors and the community.
