Hello! I'm Abdul, a final year Computer Science student at KIIT University with a passion for exploring the intersection of technology and finance. In my third year, I undertook a groundbreaking project called Metropolis-Byzantium, a DeFi & NFT protocol designed to revolutionize the utilization of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the Web3 space.

Metropolis-Byzantium addresses the common issue of NFTs merely serving as collectibles lying dormant in wallets. The protocol consists of two key components: Metropolis, a dedicated NFT marketplace, and Byzantium, the actual DeFi platform.

On the Byzantium platform, users can leverage their NFTs as collateral to secure private micro-loans. The process is facilitated by borrowing instant loans using Polygon NightFall Optimistic Zero-knowledge technology, ensuring efficient and secure transactions. Notably, Byzantium transactions are entirely private, safeguarding the value, tokenId, sender, and recipient details from prying eyes.

To enhance user experience, I implemented a seamless login mechanism using UNS Domains, creating a Nightfall account for each new user. This innovative approach not only adds a layer of privacy but also streamlines the onboarding process.

My journey in the world of blockchain and decentralized finance reflects my commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology to create real-world solutions. Metropolis-Byzantium stands as a testament to my dedication to merging cutting-edge technology with financial accessibility, making a meaningful impact in the evolving landscape of Web3.
