Respected Sir/Madam,
I am Smita Maurya (Enrollment Number 13701012021), I am a B.tech 2nd Year Undergraduate Student of department Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University For Women , Kashmere Gate, New Church Road, Delhi.
I am writing this cover letter to express my deep interest in the Hackathon organized by Lean In. I am currently in the 2nd year of my Engineering, maintaining a CGPA of 8.00 (Till 2nd Semester). I want to enhance my Coding skills, and gain exposure to new softwares and programming languages. I want to gain a unique glimpse of applying my Computer Science studies into a practical and professional environment.
I have learned DSA in C++ language which helped me to think out of the box and solve problems.There is always a new coding technique to learn that will help me to solve even harder problems, this makes coding a very attractive hobby.
I have also learned fronted Web Development which include HTML ,CSS and JAVASCRIPT which help me to design webpages.
I worked as a Mentor in “Desh Ke Mentor “ program initiative of Delhi Government.It was an amazing experience to be a part of this program of guiding students of class 10th and 12th for their exams , for future guidance for emotional support and motivation.
I am also selected as a Mentee in GDSC in the DSA foundation background.I am enjoying coding with the GDSC team. They also teach lots of new things to us.
I hope that the combination of my current knowledge and developing skills set make me a perfect candidate for the hackthon. What is more , I am certain that it would be a great opportunity for me to grow professionally.
