Holaa! Yash Gupte here from Bombay. I am currently in my final year of computer engineering. Throughout my education I have developed a heavy inclination towards data analysis. Front-end development has also been my area of interest.
I have developed the front-end of a book portal as a project where you can buy or rents books. I have worked on a food ordering website. The unique part of the project was that a customer can order food before entering the restaurant itself. I was also instrumental in creating a fall detector which detects if the cell phone has fallen, along with other features.
The biggest opportunity I have got till date is to participate in the Smart India Hackathon 2019, India's largest hackathon to work on a project from AICTE. In a nutshell, the project was about tracking the availability of different officers in the head office of AICTE. For
that, we used a progressive web application (PWA) to make it platform-independent and still be able to deliver
a native app experience. We successfully managed to win the prize for the problem statement.
I absolutely love the concept of hackathons now! The idea that we have to build a prototype based on an idea in a limited time span entices me to the core. I look forward to participating in such hackathons and keep learning as much as I can.
I have been working as an IT Operations Analyst at Wolters Kluwer since October 2020. I have developed a quantitative tool for portfolio optimization in the Indian stock market, as a side project.
