Prachit Mhalgi

I'm Prachit Mhalgi, currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in Computer engineering at K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering. My interest in programming began to develop right from middle school where I learned the basics of HTML. After joining KJSCE, I started competitive programming which helped me become good at logical reasoning.
Inspired by innovative websites on internet, I entered in the field of Full stack development and interned for Software Dept. of KJSCE where we created Feedback System portal for course & faculty feedback which is currently in testing mode. It was a stressful but very good learning experience as it was the first time I created & hosted a full fledged website from scratch.
My main motivation to attend hackathons is my interest in learning & practicing fields like AI, ML and Native mobile apps. Apart from hackathon,I have audited extra courses of Python & Data Science from my college and I'm currently practicing native app building with Flutter. When I'm not busy reading about new technologies in computing field, I'm an enthusiastic painter. To keep my hobby alive I became part of Art team in our college for a year. A 3D model of Ironman, A.P.J.Abdul Kalam's portrait made with Doodle artwork, 120 feet entrance wall filled with historic events and numerous wall paintings for various intra-college as well inter-college festivals are some of the highlights from that year.
My goal in life is to be able to make meaningful contributions to the community I'm part of and that's why I've been working with Non-profit Social Organisation JanaPrabodhini for more than 4 years where we have raised funds for helping the victims of several natural calamities in India as well as Nepal, conducted science workshops for children, helped cleaning water bodies during 'Ganesh Visarjan'. Experiencing joy and content from this and to reach many more people I am currently working on website 'Will TO Donate' under college faculty which will help connecting more people to NGOs. I am hoping to get selected for this hackathon and If given a chance, I will seize every opportunity on my way to become creative & successful coder as well as person in life.
