Web 3:
Currently developing a web3 tool focused on version controlling and declaration ownership of IP and media files onchain.
Additionally producing and managing Kasbeel, a Web 3 native artist operating in the space since 2021 with an extensive catalog of tokenized assets and sales. Weekly onchain drops on Zora, Sound, Catalog and interacting with different chains.
**Music Industry **
2002 - 2024 Founded, developed and exited two independent record labels, achieving substantial market penetration within the Colombian music industry. My role involved extensive work into digital metadata systems, the economics of music production, and the use of social media for artist promotion. Emphasis was placed on working with artists from marginalized socio-economic backgrounds, examining the impact of technology on democratizing access to the music revenue.
Creative Services for Multinational Corporations
*2014 - present * Over a decade of providing expert creative services, including music production and music video creation, for multinational corporations. I have also participated in screenwriting and development of tv series for Univision and Netflix having sold and developed an original stories based inLatin America. This period allowed for the study of evolving media formats and their implications for content consumption, distribution, and cultural dissemination.
Research in Disruptive Technologies for Creatives
2021 - 2023 Water & Music: A three-year tenure as a lead researcher and contributor, focusing on disruptive web 3 technologies within the creative sectors. My work involved in-depth analysis of emerging trends, the potential of blockchain, and other digital innovations to redefine artistic creation, distribution, and monetization.
Cross-Cultural Research and Development
*2010 * Voice Data Collection for Nuance Communications: Spearheaded a groundbreaking project across Latin America, including Colombia, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Brazil, focusing on the collection and analysis of voice data to inform the early development of voice recognition software. This work required an immersive approach to understanding regional dialects, cultural nuances, and local customs, contributing significantly to advancements in human-computer interaction technologies.
