My name is B V Mokan Kumar and I am passionate about Engineering particularly in the cybersecurity of the digital world of today’s interconnected society. SRM Institute of Science and Technology has been my academic institution and based on my academic as well as my professional experience, cybersecurity has been the focal area of my career and this is primarily because I firmly believe that it is the backbone of modern society.
Today, the concept of cybersecurity is not the luxury or option that is necessary; it is the imperative. The threat level that companies and institutions face today from digital attacks is only getting worse and manifests itself in the very networks that link our world. They help to understand a specific focus on the cybersecurity needs and a clear vision of how to protect corresponding assets from various threats.
In this journey, I have participated in a number of major activities, which showcases all the abilities I have towards this industry. From vulnerability identification to the assessment, prioritisation and management schemes, it is now possible to protect an organisation against possible attack effectively. Moreover, in my paper on the meta-learning approach to constructing adaptive attacks on adversarial defences, the focus is made on developing new strategies for improving security based on the application of complex algorithms that are capable of responding to new threats in the process of their emergence.
In addition to the traditional security tools, I also have passion on blockchain technologies mostly because they hold a lot of potential to bring the decentralised and tamper proof records of security to reality. This two-pronged approach not only updates my security skillset regarding more classic security areas but also arms me with the tools to do security on the various new technologies that are revolutionizing our digital world.
In the Unfold event, I am eager to share some useful information and learn new trends in both technology and security fields contributing as much as it is possible to a common goal of making the Internet space safer.
