Emily Gavrilenko

Over the past few years, I've done several projects to dive deeper into various topics that interest me in the Computer Science field. Hackathons are the perfect way to fully immerse myself in a new skillset and provide experience in teamwork and collaboration. Over the course of three hackathons, I've learned how to use Android Studio, React, and Google Firebase to create and host websites and apps. In my free time, I've also tinkered with various Google Cloud APIs and XCode to create more robust applications and provide valuable services to me and my peers. I'm also really interested in Machine Learning and AI, and believe it is the future of technology. My first exposure to ML was a AWS DeepRacer Competition during which I employed Reinforcement Learning to train vehicle to race in a simulated environment. These experiences have only grown my love for programming, and I'm constantly seeking to learn new skills and hear about the newest groundbreaking technology
