Joshua Okoghie

I'm a software developer with a strong foundation in AI/ML and full-stack development. What drives me most is building tools that make people’s lives easier—especially where intelligent systems and real-world problems intersect. I love solving challenges with code, whether it’s optimizing workflows, automating decisions, or making tech more accessible.

One of my favorite projects is ChatShop AI, a conversational shopping assistant that uses NLP and the Gemini API to help users find products in real time across multiple e-commerce platforms. It reduces search time by 30% and ranked in the top 15% at the 2024 Google Gemini API Competition. I also built a Movie Recommendation System using collaborative filtering and an Image Classifier with PyTorch that hit 92% accuracy—both taught me how much impact well-trained models can have on personalization and perception.

Beyond AI, I’ve developed custom CRMs, responsive websites, and integrated real-time APIs in client projects. I'm deeply curious about the intersection of biology and AI and excited by the potential of intelligent systems to improve health, diagnostics, and our understanding of life itself. I’m looking forward to collaborating, learning, and pushing boundaries at this hackathon.
