I have always been passionate about sports analytics, which prompted me to explore coding and computer science while pursuing high school. This passion of mine was reinforced by consistently high scores in computer science, culminating in the Best Project Award for coding and executing a popular game.
Encouraged by the above success, I have been pursuing a dual degree - BS degree in Data Sciences at IIT Madras, and a BE degree in computer science at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. As part of the latter, I have been working on a project to analyze the technique used by swimmers using an existing model, Yolo V7. In doing so, I have realized the importance of understanding the theoretical foundations of machine learning. This realization led me to shift my focus from just using existing models to understanding how to build them from scratch. To this end, I have recognized the significance of having a strong grasp of statistical learning and am presently planning to learn more through related courses at IITM.
If given an opportunity, I would like to continue the above journey by pursuing advanced research in Statistical Learning.
