Im really passionate about software dev as I find it really interesting that with a set of user written instructions , we can achieve almost everything.
The most complex project I have ever worked on was to develop a prototype of a review summarizer using NLP methods. I was new to python and I consequently learnt a lot of amazing things you can do with the computing abilities of python numpy and scipy. And NLP methods like td-idf analysis word vectors and much more were really interesting to learn and to work on.
