At a hackathon, my team and I made an app called Foodify. It takes a snap of food items, detects its name, and queries to get potential calories of the item and log it in your log book. We faced a lot of challenges in developing the app. The first prototype was made using APIs, then we gradually trained a ML model ourself to improve the accuracy.
