Howdy, Pratik here. I am currently in my final year of engineering, pursuing Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from K,J. Somaiya College of Engineering. I am an ambitious student, who is very keen in exploring the areas of

Academic Experience
- 'Winter Research Intern' at KJSCE as part of an in-house internship program where I worked upon 'Information Extraction using NLP'.
- 'Summer Research Intern' at KJSCE as part of an in-house internship program where I researched about the various 'Efficient Algorithms in Neural Network'.
Projects
- FinSight - Back End Programming Semester V Mini Project which helps user manage personal finances and keep a note on the latest stock market prices.
- Developed various object detection models using OpenCV and YOLO under the 'Project Based Learning' program of RIIDL SVV which helps one learn better by using hands on techniques for the concepts learnt.
Extra-Curricular Activities
- Been Campus Ambassador at GirlScript Summer of Code 2020.
- Completed FinTech course offered by Mumbai Fintech Hub and secured a score of 88/100 (100 percentile) in the final assessment.
- Participated in SIH 2020 Internal Hackathon (36 hours) and developed Hexa- An AI based healthcare chatbot.
- Attended a 2 day 'Ethical Hacking' workshop at IIT Bombay.
- Machine Learning Mentor at Mobility Development Tech Camp, a 15 days long hackathon event organized by IncubateInd.
- Completed 'A Gentle Introduction to TensorFlow with Machine Learning' as an extra audit course to further brush up my skills in this domain in Sem. V

Achievement
Won my first hackathon in February 2020 at HackIt 2.0, a 24 hour inter-college hackathon organized by the Computer Society Of India Chapter of K.J. Somaiya College Of Engineering. We bagged the runner up prize under the hard category (AI/ML) out of 60 competing teams coming from various colleges present at the venue. We built a prototype for the Recruitment Assisting Platform called 'ATSBot' which, using machine learning techniques, helps recruiters reach the right candidate faster and scan through multiple user profiles efficiently.
