Navana Tech India Private Limited is creating user interface technology that is text-free, image-based and voice-assisted so that illiterate and semi-literate users can have the same access to smartphone services that everyone else has. The problem is particularly amplified within digital applications related to banking or health. The fear associated with making a misstep in these high risk environments potentially leading to a loss of health or money means that low-literate users shy away from navigating within banking/healthcare apps.

In order to arrive at our current product design methodology, we have conducted extensive research around the use of digital interfaces across the country. This has ensured that we have clearly identified gaps in UI/UX and strategies to ensure we can fix these gaps going forward.
