I'm good at coding, organizing a technical spec, and bringing together a team to get a job done. I also do a lot of mediation and morale building.

I have a powerful freedom streak that initially drove my interest in monetary theory and decentralization. I was in IRC chatting it up and reading whitepapers back in 2012. At that time I was already in the private tech industry, so I didn't branch out into the crypto space as much as I would have liked. Tech companies promised plentiful blockchain opportunities, but never really understood what they were doing.

The most fun I had designing and coding was for a slew of weather prediction apps for the insurance industry. Rapid-fire products creating interesting visualizations for enormous swaths of data, large-scale geospatial storage covering the world and tracking weather on the shortest timescales that would be performant. I did that for a couple years and regret leaving the role for more money!
