I, Jainish Sakhidas, am pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, also known as SAKEC, Mumbai University. My graduation will be completed in the year 2023.
In my four years of engineering, I have worked with various IT departments like Full stack development, Machine learning, and Database Management, from which I realized where my interest lies. Therefore I focused my expertise on Software development, from learning the bits and pieces to diving deep into it, thus making it my strength. My internship experiences and the projects I worked on were a big part of my learning. I have a good grasp of web development, as my internships mostly revolved around it, including HTML, CSS, Javascript, ReactJs, Angular, Bootstrap, and MaterialUI as part of client-side development and SpringBoot (Java), PHP, and Django as a part of server-side development. Apart from that, I have also worked in App development with Flutter(basics). During the period of “lockdown” due to covid, I gained the maximum benefit from it by learning new skills through competitions and online courses from websites like Coursera, Udemy, and Youtube, which contributed to my professional knowledge. Speaking of competitions, my team and I reached the Deep Blue Season 7 hackathon finale after qualifying in the two elimination rounds, where we gained an understanding of product development, teamwork, and time management. Further, I was the Technical Cohead of the Computer Society of India in SAKEC (CSI-SAKEC) in 2021, and I got promoted to Head for the same in the current year, which not only improved my existing skill set but also developed my social as well as management skills. Recently my team and I went for an offline paper publication of one of our projects at the ISI 2022 conference, which was held at Kerala Digital University, where we met several Ph.D. in the field I am studying, their research scholars, and the students at the university and comprehended about their work and research which helped us make new connections.
To conclude, I have gained diverse skill sets from my experience, which has made me flexible, smart working, hardworking, and fit for the industry.
