My name is Habte Selassie Fitsum, and I am a passionate software engineer with a strong foundation in both Web2 and Web3 technologies. Over the years, I have developed a diverse skill set that spans from building dynamic user interfaces and robust backend systems to deploying smart contracts and creating decentralized applications (dApps).
What I'm Good At:
I excel in full-stack development, with particular expertise in Java, JavaScript, and Solidity. My experience ranges from crafting user-friendly interfaces using React and Angular to architecting scalable backend systems with Java Spring Boot. In the Web3 space, I have gained substantial proficiency in developing smart contracts on Ethereum and Polygon, implementing token standards like ERC20, ERC721, and ERC1155, and optimizing blockchain applications for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
What Drives Me:
What truly drives me is the intersection of technology and innovation. The idea that technology can fundamentally transform industries and improve lives fuels my passion for continuous learning and building. In Web3, I see an opportunity to create more equitable and transparent systems, and this vision inspires me to push the boundaries of what's possible with blockchain and decentralized finance.
Interesting Projects I've Built:
Gift and Rewards Application (Celo Batch 9 Hackathon):
I developed a decentralized platform on Celo that allows businesses to issue and customers to redeem gift cards and rewards securely. This project leverages blockchain technology to enhance customer loyalty and business transparency, offering a unique solution for modern enterprises.
Chain-Chat (The Super Hack 2024 Hackathon):
I built Chain-Chat, a SocialFi decentralized application that combines social networking with financial incentives. The app includes features such as private and group messaging, image and reel posting, and user engagement through likes, comments, and shares. Users earn tokens for their interactions, creating a platform that merges social interaction with decentralized finance.
Web3/DeFi Projects (Moralis Academy Internship):
During my internship, I developed and deployed various smart contracts for decentralized applications on Ethereum and Polygon. I also implemented a Flash Loan smart contract and contributed to the creation of a Multi-Sig Wallet, which enhanced security and transaction control. My work in this role deepened my understanding of decentralized finance and blockchain scalability.
In summary, I am driven by the potential of technology to create impactful solutions. My journey through Web2 and Web3 has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to build innovative applications that push the boundaries of what’s possible. I am excited to continue exploring and contributing to the rapidly evolving world of decentralized technology.
