Im Filip, 28 y/o from Sweden. Was very active in the blockchain space in Stockholm around 2016-2017 but has the last years been away in order to work on other products not related to blockchain. I believe myself to be a good leader, a hard worker and someone who believes in myself and people around me.
My blockchain background is having a MSc in Digital Currency (University of Nicosia) and a BSc in Business and Economics (Stockholm Business School) with a thesis title "The classifications of Cryptocurrencies. Then i have a half bachelor in CS, which i dropped out from in order to build a company automising real estate valuations.
Blockchain wise, I also did the ConsenSys bootcamp in 2018. When I lived in Stockholm I worked as the webmaster for one of Sweden's largest banks and also had a role where I analysed blockchain for them.
As a developer im fullstack and have built 4-5 entire products in production. In the beginning i worked with Python (mostly webscraping, algos and general math scripts), Solidity and PHP, but last years have only been about Javascript with React frontend and Node backend. AWS with buckets, lambda and stuff.
Have mostly used MySQL as DB, but have also done Maria and SQLite.
The companies i've had:
- Platform Z - grading programmers based on their Github profile and build bounty contracts (similar to Gitcoin) to automise work. I believe we were too early and the market wasn't ready for blockchain in practice back then (they almost ran away when we started to talk about metamask and things like that).
- HouseAnalytica - automating house valuations with machine learning. Mostly used Random Forest and other regression. Didn't find enough people who trusted my models.
- Vippalo - Currently active (vippalo.com), which is an Italian website that helps upcoming celebrities to grow and monetise their brand. Currently focus on personalised video messages where fans interact with their idols.
- QR Tomato - https://qrtomato.com is a quick website i did this Xmas at my parents house. I wanted to try drag and drop and also saw the need of restaurants stopping using physical menus during covid-19. I noticed http doesnt redirect to https as it should, and haven't fixed it yet (nginx).
I also run the Meetup in Palermo, Sicily, called Startup Sicilia. Unfortunately we haven't had the possibility to meet for a year because of covid-19. But it has almost 300 members I believe.
