After managing five teams in projects that increased tech literacy rates in low-income Los Angeles neighborhoods by 30% in a single year and transforming legacy applications in a student-led ecommerce startup that improved revenue by $25,000 in a month, I'm excited to pivot the start of my technology career toward hacking. As I helped my classmates achieve their entrepreneurial dreams, I also began to enjoy deploying my skills to enable social good, which is why I began shadowing the board of UCLA's Society of Women Engineers (SWE). This leads me to some ideas I have in mind for StatusCode 0, which address ongoing worldwide flooding, ethical use cases for Large Language Models (LLMs), applications that better prepare students for corporate recruiting, and Web 3.0-powered legal services aimed at empowering students wanting to contribute their personality and skills anywhere in the world.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, running 10K races, and volunteering at Chicago's largest food bank, which serves 500,000 low-income residents.

I grew up in three places: Hong Kong SAR; Kochi, Kerala; and Chicago, IL, USA. As a sophomore at UCLA I study Biophysics through the Pre-Health (pre-med) program.

In my freshman year, a paper I wrote to complement a Tableau dashboard quantifying relative poverty rates throughout the world was nominated by my professor for the UCLA Library Prize for Undergraduate Research. I'd love to share more about it with you!
