“Sure, so, my name is Chidera and I am 24 years old.
For the past few years, I’ve been working as a freelancer developing hybrid solution to business which cannot access the internet because of low internet connetivity in the eastern part of Nigeria.
I have some background in java programming, spring framework, SQL and APIs, with a master degree in Management Information System from Covenant University(to be completed january 2023) . What really got me into the field, though, is the zeal to give value to the Nigerians by developing and deploying solutions that solve their problem.
Throughout my career, I’ve noticed that I’ve always been good with numbers and handling data.
For example, when I was working at Hipo Automobile as a part time Head of Operations while in undergraduate, I led a project for migrating all operations data from paper records to digital records to cut down on costs. The new solution was a much better fit for the business, which eventually led to savings of up to N1,200,000 annually.
Moving forward, I hope to expand my experience across different industries. Particularly fintech, artificial intelligence and enterprise software, which is why I’m interested in joining the program..”
