Atibhi Agrawal

I am a passionate developer who believes she can achieve anything if she puts her mind to it. I love Open Source and am actively involved in inclusion and diversity programs. I want to give back to the community using technology. I want to make a difference. This is what drives me.
The most complex project I ever worked on / am working on is if-me organization. I am Rails Girls Summer Of Code Scholar'18, as a part of the program, I have to build a full stack feature in if-me. This is because " Yay! My code works" is not sufficient. Your code must be highly optimized and linted. I had never worked with such a huge codebase before, navigating my way through it proved to be a challenge. Using test-driven development and agile practices for the first time was difficult.
I learnt a lot from this experience. The two most important things I learnt were:

  1. Always write clean, efficient code that others can understand.
  2. Collaboration and asking for help is important. That helps you grow a lot.
The hackathon organizers should accept me because I am confident of building a useful product and deploying it. Moreover, I am a people's person, this hackathon will give me the opportunity to interact with new people and discuss new ideas. :)
