  Product Pitch:

  InterMine is a biological research organisation under University of Cambridge, the product "InterMine" helps biologists from different parts of world share/manage/query/analyse biological data under different mines (aka HumanMine, WormMine, FlyMine, etc.)

  My Contributions:

  • Accumulated requirement from biologists to understand and figure out the right type of data visualisations required for the project.
  • Worked on developing several open-source data visualisations for tons of interMine’s biological data based on different Genes and Proteins — ranging from 3D protein visualiser to expression charts and network graphs which help biologists determine cancer symptoms in genes.

  Product Pitch:

  • YieldScan is an open-source grant project backed by Web3Foundation.
  • It focused on improving staking experience for the users on n-pos (nominated proof-of-stake) chain known as Polkadot.
  • The market YieldScan targeted was a fresh market with a circulation of 3.89M DOT tokens ($600,000,000 at that time) with a major UX issue in staking sector hence the product had a great market-fit and BuildLabs' team realised this the earliest in the market.

  My Contributions:

  • I was hired as a Protocol Engineer for this project and worked on multiple aspects of it.
  • Finalised the code-level design and architecture for both the backend and frontend applications building proper ready-to-get-started setup.
  • Executed the whole frontend from scratch working on implementation of the UI, state-management and API integration, majorly focused on core marketable functionalities.
  • Iterated over tons of team's feedback (which was the most exciting and learning part for me since there's a LOT of positive criticism involved in the process!).
  • Even though I was just an agent in the process, I always tried to think and work like the principal which had many fruitful rewards in my personal growth and also helped in reaching the pre-defined milestones faster.

  Rough thoughts:

  • Got a new angle of product-thinking: being "super" emphatic to users.
• Apnerve Labs - Web Engineer

  Product Pitch:

  • LeapFinance is a Bangalore based fintech startup (series-A funded at that time).
  • The platform approves loan to international students via online automated process in just 9 minutes taking in some basic details.

  My Contributions:

  • I worked with a team of two (Praveen as lead engineer and Aniket as product manager) developing the initial core technology for the startup.
  • I implemented their core loan approval engine maintaining 100% accuracy with the requirements (100s of IFs), at the same time developing it in a scalable and extensible way to be easily modified in the future.
  • Developed several generic HOCs and components for the frontend application to be used globally.

  Product Pitch:

  • World Wisdom Map is a grant project backed by Singapore Art Foundation
  • It's world's first repository having life-lessons from every single country
  • It was built with an intention to connect lives, people from different cultures and those who want to share their life lesson since everyone in their life has a life lesson which could help someone on the other side of the world.
  • I really liked the love-sharing nature of the platform so much, after it got deployed for the first time, people were sharing so many love notes with each other and hoping wellness for everyone that I could see people dominating this bad CoVid times.

  My Contributions:

  • Led the engineering of the product end-to-end from design implementation to architecture to actual execution.
  • Contributed heavily in design thinking of the product (as it was one of the main aspects of such a lesson-sharing platform)
  • Figured out multiple approaches to solve many problems that came but based on the trade-offs picked the right ones, which also helped us reach milestones on time as well as in scaling the project.
  • Implemented several performance optimisation techniques (since we have pages with 100s of images) and anyway it's a good thing to do if not done pre-maturely :)

• ThinkZone - Software Developer Intern

  Product Pitch:

  Award winning Ed-tech startup focused on educating students in rural areas of India with the help of modern technology.

  My Contributions:

  • Worked on a teacher facing mobile application from scratch to manage student attendance, assignments, live quizzes, and a few small modules
  • Implement language localisation in the app
  • Implemented no/low network working in the app because most of the classes used to happen in villages far from network sometimes
  • Designed and developed backend APIs and database schemas for the same
