Alexey Kalmykov

I am a Master student at University of Luxembourg, studying computer Science and focusing on cryptography and blockchains. I also work as a smart contract developer.

My main interest is in applied programmable cryptography, namely zkSNARKs, MPC, FHE and TEEs, and DeFi. Currently, I’m working on an MPC-based dark pool exchange on Ethereum as a part of the Nillion grant program.

I have regularly compete in hackathons, a few of the latest being zkHack İstanbul 2023 (1st place), ETH Toronto 2023 (1st place, Aleo Track), Berkeley RDI Zero Knowledge Proofs/Web3 Hackathon 2023, Winner (1st place).

Among the projects I loved building was a PoC of a trustless market making for Uniswap v3 using storage proof and Halo2 proven off-chain algorithm. I developed it during the last Axiom Open Source Program. I also won Aleo Deploy Incentives with a first privacy preserving DEX.

My motivation is to meet like minded people and go deeper on the topics I'm interested in. Currently, I'm learning everything all by myself and feel that it slows me down. A chance to spend 6 weeks with the builders community would be invaluable for me.
