Hi, I'm Varun Khanijo 👋

Backend Software Engineer passionate about building scalable systems, distributed architectures, and AI-powered products. I primarily work with Node.js, TypeScript, Fastify, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and cloud platforms like GCP and AWS.

Currently, I'm building payment infrastructure, real-time systems, and large-scale analytics pipelines. Previously, I worked on agentic AI workflows, RAG systems, workflow automation, and multi-tenant SaaS platforms. I enjoy solving complex backend problems, improving system reliability, and designing APIs that scale.

Outside of coding

I enjoy exploring system design, contributing to open-source projects, learning new technologies, and building products that solve real-world problems. When I'm not coding, you'll probably find me watching anime, dancing, or playing badminton.
