I have always loved math and by extension, problem solving. This was what propelled me into the field of computers. After learning C++ in school, I started trying to solve problems in Codeforces, Codewars, etc.. A few months ago I took Andrew Ng's course on Machine Learning on Coursera, and I think that was probably the best course that I had ever taken. Following that I have tried out a couple of problems on Kaggle like Titanic, Iris, etc.. I have not been able to do much on Machine Learning after that as I had my entrance exams and since I wanted some clarity on basic computer science skills, I then took CS50's Introduction to Computer Science which later propelled me into app development. Soon after I learnt Java and decided to try out working with Android Studio. I didn't find many resources on the Internet to learn app dev and so I am trying to learn the concepts directly through projects. I look up some good project videos on Youtube and as I try to implement that, I learn new concepts and can look up that particular topic in the internet. I still have a long way to go in this domain, but I really like doing this, so I am willing to put up with Android Studio's weirdness. I have made this app to apply filters to images where you can upload the image from your phone or take a picture. I am still working on how to choose a picture from the internet. Now you can apply different filters to your images like sepia, invert, sketch, etc.. Then you can share this image through WhatsApp.(kind of like a primitive Instagram). I also made a simple Notes app where you can create notes and delete them. The first app that I made is called Pokedex. It taught me about API's and using the Volley library, one of the very important concepts in development, as a whole. Presently I am making a Schedule Manager to not just let me plan my schedule, but actually have functionality to plan it for me. Also when I am free, I am learning openCV, where I love manipulating images, extracting patterns from them etc..(I feel like even changing some colours on images works like a charm on me after a stressful day). While I have never had any experience in web development except for knowing html, or the 2017-18 tech trend, augmented reality, I would love to learn more about them and computers in general.
