I am a back-end web developer and Ex - Vice Chairperson of CodeChef-VIT Student Chapter. I am also exploring blockchain development and have experience with Smart Contract development using Solidity and developing its APIs using Node.js and Web3.js.
My main tech stack includes Node.js for backend, with Express as the framework, MongoDB for my database needs, Heroku for test deployments, and AWS EC2 for production deployments. I have also worked with MySQL and Redis. Like any other developer, I use git for version control, and GitHub to manage my repositories and collaborate with teams. I believe in 'growing as you learn', which motivates me the most.
I, along with one of my friends, also worked on a research paper which focuses on solving the creation of spam and fake accounts on various social media websites. The paper focuses on implementing a blockchain-based authentication system to fulfill the cause.
My most prominent project is the Common Entry Test which I developed for my club CodeChef-VIT Student Chapter. The portal was used to conduct online tests for different clubs and chapters in VIT. It allowed for smooth conduction of tests by dividing the test into various domains and provided the clubs to view results, mark submissions, and more while allowing them to gain more reach by being on a common portal. More than 25 clubs signed up for the portal (with a signup count of more than 2500 students), making it a huge success in the time of the pandemic.
Another one of my projects, Stonks, is a web application that predicts stock prices that not only takes into consideration the history of the stock, as all generic predictors do but also the current happenings in the world through news and media sources.
I am really proud of my work as a Software Development Intern at Kaloory Education Solutions LLP. I led the backend team (comprising of three members, including myself) and built the entire backend of the app from scratch. The web app hosts several features like live online classes, course and batch scheduling, timetables, assignments, tests, real-time discussion forums, secure payments, and much more. Moreover, the app also allows teachers to understand how a student is performing, learning, and growing in a class, and how to make the learning experience better for him. I have also built the admin panel for the app, which allows us to understand how the teachers are using our platform and what features they are using the most, which allows us to modify our current architecture.
I have also worked as a Software Development Intern at Josh Talks. My job was to create a website for the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. The project is in partnership with Facebook and is known as GOAL which will provide economically and socially marginalized young women with the tools and guidance they need to succeed, using technology they may otherwise have not had access to.
