I started programming during my high school. I have built websites using html, css, javascript and django in backend. I have good grasp on MySQL database. Nowadays, I am more interested towards machine learning. I love the way how the computer can make intelligent decisions similar to humans. During my second year in engineering, I started to learn Artificial Intelligence, particularly machine learning. Upto now, I have completed course in machine learning and deep learning specialization from an online platform, www.coursera.org. I have learned a lot from the programming exercises of these courses. I have also been selected for AI fellowship at Fusemachines Inc. which is a one year long program to train students to become machine learning engineer. I was also a participant of First Nepal Winter School in AI where we got to meet and attend the lectures of different researchers from top ranked university.
I have worked on a Smart Library Management System project which we demonstrated in a national technological festival, LOCUS and also won a thematic software award. My job was to develop a machine learning algorithm which suggests the library authority about the most probable book that would be best to put on the library shelf based on the data of recent book withdrawn. Also, the book reminder time sent to different users who have taken book from library were different and were based on the parameters from the past records of the user like punctuality to return the book on time to library and how many times the user is in fine list. Based on such data how early and how frequently the reminder is to be sent to user is determined which makes sense as every user is not the same and require different treatments. From this project, I get to learn about recommender systems, using Python libraries for machine learning and structuring machine learning projects.
