NEC RURAL EDUCATION HACKATHON

Rural Education App
In the online phase, there were around 3000 teams & 4000 candidates out of which only 40 top teams were selected for the hackathon with a maximum of 150 candidates. So, shortlisted for the offline phase hackathon. Successfully developed the Rural Education App using Java & Android Studios. A proper business solution was created. The team was selected in the top 5 outta 3000 teams.
Ultrasonic Radar System
Department of Physics and Nanotechnology, Srm Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur. The working model of Ultrasonic Radar System was presented in Techknow-2019, First Edition held at SRMIST on 9-12 Oct,2019 & was adjudged as the best project by the expert technical committee constituted for this purpose.
NEC FOOD HACKATHON
In the online phase, there were around 1700 teams & 2200 candidates out of which only 30 top teams were selected for the hackathon with a maximum of 120 candidates as 1 team may consist for a max of 4 candidates. So, shortlisted for the offline phase hackathon. Successfully made pH detector, temperature sensing, gas/fire sensing & moisture sensing for the hackathon. All the things were made using IOT & Arduino UNO.

Rural Education App

The app "DATA PIRATES" was developed using Java & Android Studio. The app consisted of a Quiz that can be used for regular Examination. The app also consisted of a online/offline Library with language selection portal for each book. This lets the student read multiple categories of books & helps save paper {environment}. Then, the app had a attendance portal where the teacher updates the attendance of the student. Also, there was a 'Help' button in the library & quiz part. This served for the purpose of tuition classes. Here, the students can take tuition classes/doubt classes from their seniors. A credit system was introduced in the application.
Based upon the percentage of attendance, the student was given credit points. Moreover, by reading books & solving quizzes, the student can earn credit points. Moreover, the senior that provided the juniors with tuition will be suitable awarded with credit points based upon the result of the students. The credit points can be redeemed or exchanged for goods/scholarships in these rural schools.

Gesture Controlled Car
The working mode of hand gesture controlled car was made using Arduino Uno Bluetooth version & by using Arduino Lilypad. Using the accelerometer module, & the Arduino Lilypad fixed in the glove, the commands were sent to the Arduino Uno fixed to the car which has complete control over the car.

Open LED Race
The working project of Led Racing was built using Arduino Uno. The Arduino Uno was programmed in C language. The code not only consisted of normal racing but also contained Gravity in the code so the car returns back if the button isn't pressed continuously on the ascending part.

pH Detector
The pH detector was made using the Arduino UNO & the pH module. Then, it was programmed using C in which bubble sorting was used to get more accurate pH. The GPS was attached to the module. The GPS updates the pH on the database & it appears on the map. The pH Detector was made for the NEC FOOD Hackathon.
