Gagan Ganapathy

I am Gagan Ganapathy presently a final year undergrad student at IIIT Allahabad, India pursuing my bachelor's in Information Technology. Currently, working as a Research Intern at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore at the AI Speech Lab for my final semester.

I have experience of working with C++, JavaScript and Python and most of the time you’ll find me building projects that are solutions to basic problems which I personally face or something I am curious to know about, in general my interests lie in problem solving and product development. I love working with algorithms and data structures which I believe are my strong areas!

  • Hasura - Software Developer Intern
    October 2018 - January 2019

    Resolve issues and add new features to the Hasura console built using ReactJS and Redux.

    Developed boilerplates to integrate hasura’s graphql engine using ReactJS.

  • Nanyang Technological University - Research Intern
    January 2020 - Present
    1. Designed and Developed a rich Transcription based editor integrating the re-speak and speech APIs allowing the user to communicate directly with the Automatic Speech Recognition system (ASR) into a web based service for post transcription processing.

    2. Responsible for building and deploying (as a public API) a robust machine learning model for spoken language understanding of ambulance emergency calls in singapore by identifying and filling in the important slots from conversations

  • Indus Valley Partners - Software Development Intern
    May 2019 - July 2019
    • Implement all client-side functionalities using React for a build monitoring system, while co-ordinating with the Design and the Backend team for mockups and the APIs respectively
    • Packaging the app into cross-platform desktop application using the electron framework.
