My major expertise lies in Programming and Application development but following the hype, I have been doing machine learning, deep learning here and there ( Note: Not a script kiddy :P ). However cliched it sounds, I actually enjoy solving problems and working on new ideas that make a long-lasting impact. I would like to point out two projects of mine which did something similar. So 2 years ago I worked on an app for a 1-month long contest which is called "TripSharr", the idea was to simply create a platform where everyone can record their trips and share it you can call it "Snapchat for trips". We were working in a team of 4, we were the first runner-up in that competition not soon after out victory google launches Google Trips ( same idea way more features ). The second one is a recent project, I worked on during my internship in Hyderabad. We participated in Engineering the Eye hackathon there we created a unique computer vision based solution for Duane retraction syndrome. We were the first runner-up there as well, but it was a multi-disciplinary hackathon, where people from design, mechanical, optical, medical fields were present. Though TripSharr was kind of a leisure app, the product we created at Engineering the eye will potentially have huge impacts. It is further being developed at Srujana center of Innovation at LV Prasad ( where I interned by the way :) ). I have also made several projects for which do visit my Github page. So while I polished my android skills in the first project the second project gave me a hands-on practice on using Computer Vision in the real world. In my final year and as my B. Tech project I worked on LipReading using Computer Vision. ( So I suppose you can say I know Computer Vision as well ). But at heart, I am a programmer. Hackathons are fun!!!!. I myself have organized 2 Hackathons in the last three years and won 2 ( and the bragging rights ;) ). Currently, I am working at Browserstack as a Software Development Engineer. I am always looking for a platform where I can work on huge problems, meet people with the same interests, make friends, make products which solve problems, have social impacts and ETHIndia 2.0 is going to give me all of that, so I am really hopeful that I get to come this year. Well, I have listed some of my experiences, there are many more hackathon experiences where I failed terribly but I have learned. I think the experience I have with Hackathons will make me a very well suited participant, and whether I win or not, I would like to be involved in an event where we are making a huge impact and working together to actually make the world a better place.
