Akshat Jain

I am a student of Indian Institute of Technology Patna, pursuing B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. I am an Open Source enthusiast and a code fanatic. I'm adept at motivating self and others. I'm deeply passionate about software development and new innovations aiming to take the project forward. I really enjoy coding as I get to learn many new things in every project that I work on.

I think the most complex project that I've worked on so far would be my Google Summer of Code 2018 Project. I worked for FOSSASIA organisation for over 3 months on SUSI.AI Project. I got to learn a lot of new things. Collaborating with other co-developers from all around the world on an actual project was an amazing experience. I found the overall spirit of Open Source amazing.

Under the SUSI.AI project, we also have a Raspberry Pi based project (like Amazon Alexa Echo Dot or Google Home Mini). This was my first experience on a hardware based project and it was amazing.

I think that I finished all the milestones and tasks assigned to me in my Google Summer of Code Project well before time. I also received positive feedback from my mentors for my Google Summer of Code Project.

I have also been recently involved with Udacity's PyTorch Scholarship Nanodegree programme. I am currently exploring more in this field. I have also started learning about Blockchain recently, and I hope to combine it with Machine Learning someday. This hackathon could be a great place for me to start applying everything I've learned so far in these fields.

In closing, I'd like to say that I have lots of innovative ideas for the Hackathon, which I would surely wish to work on given the opportunity.

I think the thought of working on an idea till the desired outcome is achieved is enough to drive me :-)
