Abhishek Satpathy

Hello, I'm Abhishek Satpathy, a 4th year undergrad at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal pursuing my B. Tech. in the field of Information Technology. I've always been passionate about technology from a young age and I do my best to keep up with the latest tech trends and innovations. I find particular excitement in tech events like Google I/O, Apple WWDC, and Meta Connect, where I draw inspiration from the innovative products on display.

My journey in technology began with mobile app development, starting with Android Studio and JAVA. Over time, I expanded my horizons and ventured into Flutter, a cross-platform framework for mobile app development. I also explored iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI, broadening my skill set.

Beyond mobile app development, I have experience working with Rust, a high-performance, memory-safe programming language. I have built few projects involving cryptography and backend web development.

More recently I've been learning about Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems and really looking forward to diving into the world of blockchain technology. Really excited to get this started!

Goldman Sachs - Summer Software Analyst
May 2024 - July 2024
Set up and implemented the architecture for an event-driven system using AWS EventBridge to automate the monitoring and processing of loan agreements with serverless components such as Step Functions and Lambda functions. Additionally, worked with other AWS services, including API Gateway, Application Load Balancer, and DynamoDB, as part of this project.
IRIS, NITK - Mobile App Developer
November 2022 - Present
- IRIS is the official student-led ERP developed for automating all administrative and academic activities, with the mobile application having 5k+ downloads and 4.7/5 stars on the PlayStore and App Store.
- Developed the Mess Menu module, which serves hundreds of daily active users by providing up-to-date information on the dining menu. Also built the Buy and Sell module, an e-commerce platform enabling students to buy and sell products. Additionally, created NITK Maps, a customized map experience built with Mapbox to highlight various points of interest on campus.
- Utilised Clean Architecture principles and DDD along with BLoC state management for development.
Robosoft Technologies - Mobile App Developer
March 2023 - Present
- Working as a mobile application developer on a collaborated project between NITK Surathkal and Robosoft Technologies.
- Developed the high-level system architecture, designed the database schema, created Figma app frames, and built the mobile application from scratch.
- Utilised the Mapbox Flutter SDK and Mapbox Studio to deliver customised maps experiences to users.
