Announcing Monetary Sponsorship for all Community Hackathons on Devfolio by Polygon!

Our aim at Devfolio has always been to build a vibrant ecosystem of builders, and hackathons are an integral part of building this ecosystem. Hackathons have pushed builders to ideate and build MVPs in a short duration of time, leading to the birth of world-class products.
Instadapp now have billions of dollars in their TVL and are in the top 10 DeFi products globally, and The Convo Space, a decentralized conversation protocol - both of these projects were built at initiatives by Devfolio.

To accelerate the building culture amongst student communities, we are happy to offer a one-of-a-kind sponsorship, covering everything from a state-of-the-art hackathon platform to cool schwags for winners & organizers, an amazing lineup of our partner companies + bounties, and now, a monetary sponsorship of $200!
With all this, community hackathon organizers can now focus on hosting a hackathon, rather than worrying about the intricate logistics and brand value. And when that happens, the builder ecosystem will produce more quality projects, and well, that’s a win for everyone :)

Partnering with Devfolio for hackathons will open many doors for you to organize hackathons and support the creation and development of technologies that will shape our future.  With us, you immediately get access to some of the top companies, like Polygon, as sponsors for your hackathon, along with a monetary sponsorship of $200.

Polygon 💜 Hackathons

Polygon has realized the importance of building a strong developer community early on, and we at Devfolio, being community loving folks at heart, couldn't be happier to help them in their endeavor.

Recently hosted ETHOdyssey (an ETHIndia Online Hackathon) saw close to 50% of the projects built using Polygon, highlighting the potential in adoption.

To further promote Web3 technology and culture among budding Indian developers, Polygon announced BUIDL IT in October 2021. It was India's first Polygon-native hackathon, organized in collaboration with Devfolio, with prizes worth more than $150,000 on the line!
With a whopping 5,031 registrations and 180+ projects being built, BUIDL IT secured its place as the LARGEST Indian Web3 Hackathon till date!

Polygon as Devfolio Hackathon Season Partner

Since Devfolio’s public launch in early 2019, we’ve helped over 350 community hackathon organizers by providing them exclusive access to the Devfolio's platform to organize their hackathon along with a plethora of benefits, including our mentorship, schwag, and bounties. Polygon has been the default partner in all of these community-run hacks.

To add more to the game, we, on behalf of Polygon, will be providing a monetary sponsorship of $200/₹15,000 to all student-run hackathons hosted on Devfolio upon crossing 500 applications. This monetary sponsorship will enable the organizers to have prize money, especially at online hackathons, and enable better execution at the hackathon.

We’re excited to support more and more community hackathons and eventually want them to grab the sponsorship. What's the wait? Hop to devfolio.co/organize and reach out to us!
